Materials
- Several skeins of embroidery floss or other cotton thread, cut into 1.2-m (4-ft) sections (dominant color)
- Several skeins of embroidery floss or other cotton thread, cut into 80-cm (32-inch) sections (dots)
Directions
For a bracelet measuring about 15 cm (6 inches):
- Knot several threads together (here, 10 threads).

- With each thread of the dominant color, make chevrons.
- Make 2 backward knots with thread 4 on thread 5 and 2 forward knots with thread 6 on thread 7 to make 2 half dots.

- Make 2 backward knots with thread 3 on thread 5 and 2 forward knots with thread 8 on thread 7.

- Repeat the above steps, making backward knots with threads 2 and 1 and forward knots with threads 10 and 9.

- Now, the threads should be in their original order.
- With thread 5, make 2 forward knots on threads 6 and 7.

- With thread 4, make 2 forward knots on threads 6 and 7.
- With thread 4, make 2 forward knots with threads 6 and 7.
- Make a chevron with:
- threads 3 and 8,
- threads 2 and 9,
- threads 1 and 10.


- Make 2 backward knots with thread 10 on thread 1.
- Make 2 new half dots by making 2 backward knots with thread 7 on thread 6 and 2 forward knots with thread 4 on thread 5.
