The canvas is the foundation and always the first step to a successful painting process. This tutorial will show you how to make your own canvas and how to prime it before painting.
Put stretcher bars together.
Stretch the canvas over the bars.
Tack its sides with a stapler.
Dilute the Gesso 50/50 with water.
Paint 4 layers of gesso onto your canvas.
Let it dry properly.
