Supplies
Tools
  • A size 5 crochet
  • Aiguille à laine
Materials
  • Laine à double fil
Directions
  • Do a slip knot in your chosen colour.
  •  Crochet 4 chain stitches.
  • Put your hook through the chain you have just made.
  • Wrap your yarn around the hook, pull the yarn back through the chain your hook is going through as well as the loop on the hook.
  • You have joined the two ends of the chain with a slip stictch to create a circle.
  • Work trebles into the space in the middle of the circle.
  •  Make four more chain stitches.
  • Wrap the yarn around your hook and insert the hook through the middle of the circle.
  • Wrap the yarn round the hook then pull it back through the space created by the circle of chains.
  • We are left with three loops on our hook.
  • Let's wrap the yarn around the hook again and pull the yarn back through two loops on our hook.
  • We now have two hoops on our hook.
  • Let's wrap the yarn around our hook again and pull the yarn back through the remaining two loops on the hook.
  • We have now created a treble.
  •  Let's now make two more trebles into the middle of the circle.
  •  We should add two chain stitches.
  • Let's make three trebles into the space in the middle of the circle below then two chain stitches.
  •  Let's make three more trebles into the space below then two chains.
  •  Now let's make two trebles only.
  • Let's cut the yarn and leaving a tail around 10 to 15 cm.
  • Now we should pull the cut end of the yarn back through the loop.
  •  The cut end of the yarn is completely pulled back through.
  • Thread this bit of yarn on to a needle.
  • Taking the needle threaded with yarn, let's count three chains in the next treble. we should pull the needle through that chain. The square should look like this.
  •  Let's join everything up, taking our needle back and through the chain we pulled it out of.
  • This is what our crochet square should look like.
  • Pull the yarn to tighten the loop just created (not too tight) making sure the tension is the same as in the other stitches around the edge of the square.
  • Sew the loose ends and this is the final result.
