- Several skeins of embroidery floss or other cotton thread (at least 2 different colors), cut into 80-cm (32-inch) pieces

Begin the chevron bracelet
For a bracelet measuring about 15 cm (6 inches):
- Knot several threads together (here, 8 threads in 4 different colors).
1st row of chevron bracelet
- With thread 1, make a series of double forward knots (toward the right) on threads 2, 3, and 4.
- With thread 8, make a series of double backward knots (toward the left) on threads 7, 6, and 5.
- Finish the 1st row by making 2 forward knots with thread 1 on thread 8.
2nd row of chevron bracelet
- With thread 2, make a series of double forward knots on threads 3, 4, and 8.
- With thread 7, make a series of double backward knots on threads 6, 5, and 1.
- Finish row 2 by making 2 forward knots with thread 2 on thread 7.
Following rows of chevron bracelet
- Repeat the same steps with threads 3 and 6 to obtain the 3rd row.
- Repeat the same steps with threads 4 and 5 to obtain the 4th row.
- Continue, using the same principle, until bracelet reaches desired length.
