Directions
Pattern
- Fold the fabric in half and cut out the two following pieces:

NB: the wider the top of the front piece is (here 25 x 2 cm/10 x 0.8 inches), the more the collar will drape.
- Put the two pieces together right side out and pin together the edges following the dots.

Putting the open-back dress together
- Sew the 2 pieces together at about 1 cm (0.4 inches) leaving an opening of 2.5 cm (1 inch) for the armholes.
- Turn the dress inside out and try it on.
- Cut out an opening in the back.
- Sew on 2 straps at the top of the opening.

Tips
-
The measurements provided on the template are for a Size 38 (US Size 6), but as jersey is a stretchable fabric, they could be used for a Size 40 (US Size 8).
-
With jersey fabric, it isn’t necessary to put in hems, but you should always sew with zig-zag stitches or with a forward stitch and pulling on the fabric in order to keep the elasticity of the dress.
