Materials
- 150 x 10 cm (59-1/16 x 3-15/16 inches) red cotton fabric (or several strips 10 cm (3-15/16 inches) in width, sewn end to end)
NB: Satin is too slippery and jersey tends to bunch up!
Directions
- Whip-stitch all the pieces of fabric.
- If the last piece of fabric is not long enough and 2 pieces are needed: pin the seam on the outside of one of the strips onto the inside seam of another strip, so that they are back to back.

- Bring in 2 mm (1/16 inch) of fabric from the edge of the sash and fold over to the right.
- Sew this hem 1mm from the edge. Iron it flat.
