Make an aeroplane lantern by recycling a milk carton. It's a perfect decoration for a child's room!
Prepare the starch glue mixture (water + glue powder) to be used on the balloon.
Cut out strips in the green transparent paper.
Inflate the balloon (but not too big).
Coat it with glue and place the strips of green paper on it.
Leave to dry.
Deflate the balloon and remove it.
Make the top bigger.
Make 2 holes on each side with a chisel.
Thread the wire through.
For the wheels:
Draw 2 wheels with white pencil on the smooth side of black corrugated paper, using a glass to draw around.
Cut them out.
For the anchoring parts:
Draw triangles without a point on the corrugated paper.
For the propeller
Cut out a propeller shape from the black corrugated paper.
Put a tiny amount of glue on the end of the tooth pick.
Thread the wooden bead onto the toothpick.
Push it through the middle of the propeller.
For the wings
Draw wing shapes (for each side and the tail fin) on green cardboard.
Stick the pieces onto the balloon using the glue gun. Look at the final photo to help you to position them.
Push the toothpick through the middle of the balloon.
Put a point of glue on the end of the toothpick to stop the propeller from falling off.
Cut a Fanta bottle in the middle.
Make a strip.
Cut it out into a semi-circle.
Make a hole with a chisel.
Pass a wire through the holes.
