Magic Jar Kids' crafts: free tutorial

Magic jars captivate and mesmerise. All you have to do is give them a shake and watch the magic happen. Kids can follow this tutorial provided by Caroline to make a magic jar as a perfect gift for a birthday or Mother's Day.
Supplies
Tools
  • Glue gun
  • Paintbrushes
Materials
  • White acrylic paint
  • Glass jar
  • Additive for a snow globe (found in a DIY store)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Various autumnal decorations
  • Sequins
Directions

  • Find, or make, a character small enough to put in the jar.

  • Test in advance all decorative pieces to make sure they are water resistant and won't run in the water.
  • Paint the lid white or stick white adhesive paper to the lid.
  • Let it dry.
  • Stick the little character on the inside of the lid with the decoration(s) of your choice. 

  • Put the sequins in the jar and pour in water and the additive.


  • Close the jar. 

  • Stick the lid down to the jar.
