This fabric pencil case is perfect for organising all your children’s art and crafts supplies: colored markers, coloring pencils and a glue stick. It’s practical, as you can roll it up and tie it up after use. You'll never lose a colored marker again!
Sew the 60 x 12 (24 x 4-4/5 inches) strip of fabric onto one of the 60 x 30 cm (24 x 12 inches) strips. Place a pencil to work out the size of the felt-tip pens (see photo):
Repeat this action for 18 colored markers, and then sew a bigger pocket for the glue stick.
Sew the 30 cm (12 inches) side of the two 30 x 60 cm (24 x 12 inches) strips of fabric together. Turn the strips inside-out.
Insert the right side of the zipper between the two strips and sew this side of the zipper onto the strips.
Turn the case the right side out and sew on the other zipper. Use the 30 cm piece of ribbon to hide the stitches.
Once the zipper is in place, sew together the top and the bottom of the case.
Close the right side of case by tucking in the fabric to make a hem on the inside.
In the middle of the stitching, at about 15 cm (6 inches), fold the 40 cm (16 inches) piece of ribbon in half.
Place the fold in between the two strips of fabric, 1 cm (0-2/5 inch) away from the edge.
