Directions
Head of your Geisha doll
- Prepare your pieces of fabric.

- Pass the gathering thread all around the white circle, untill you have made a ball-shape.

- Insert the stuffing to make a ball.

- Pull it tight and tie a knot.

- Embroider the hair, the eyes and the mouth. You can use beads for the eyes if you wish.

- Make the ribbon into a loop and attach it with several stitches behind the head.

Body of your geisha doll
- Mark a line in pencil on the back of the other piece of fabric right in the middle (5cm in).

- Fold the square in half along the diagonal to make a triangle.
- Sew halfway along each side (up to the mark on the back).

- Do the same for the opposite side (the two tips of the base of the triangle, along the fold).
- Turn the triangle inside out, to form the other points.
- Only sew one side, the fourth side needs to stay open.
NB : Try cutting the very end of the tips so they look neater when you turn them the right way out.

- Turn the model inside out (so it is now the right way round). Make sure the pointed ends are fully out.
- Put a little bit of stuffing inside, underneath the stitching line, to make the body of the geisha doll.

- Put the head into the forth point, which should have no stuffing in it.
- Fold down the sides and sew closed.

- Fix in place with two hidden stitches.
- Bring each point in, beginning with the sides (the arms), then the bottom one (the body).

- Add a button, a little bell or a pearl for the finishing touch.
