Directions
How to make the tulle squares of the Tutu
- Cut out 5 large squares of tulle (70cm (28 inches) sides for a short tutu.)
NB : the more squares you use, the more the tutu will stick out. You could also vary the size of the squares to have longer or shorter layers and to make a more or less structured tutu.

- Lay the squares on top of each other at alternating angles.

How to make the waist of the tutu

Waistband of the tutu
- Cut out a strip of jersey fabric:
- Width = width of the waistband x 2,
- Length = waist circumference.
- Sew the ends together and fold in half lengthways, along the dotted line.

- Using zigzag stitch, sew the waistband to the tulle, keeping a firm hold of the jersey fabric. Your tutu is now ready!

Tips
- To make the squares, fold one of the edges of the tulle over to make a triangle. Two triangles make a square.
