Do you have a pair of pants that are too old to be worn? Transform them into a bag, thanks to this easy tutorial that will make you regret getting rid of those old pants.
A nice joke to play on flirts with wandering hands; they will be fooled.
Scissors
Sewing machine
Old pants
Fabric for the lining
Thread
Cut the pants across at the crotch. The dotted line shows where to cut and sew.
Flip the pants inside out and sew them on the inside.
Flip them back the right way; you have a bag.
Fold the lining fabric in half.
Trace the bag and cut a few millimeters inside the line.
Sew the lining front to front (inside out) so the seam isn’t visible once the bag is finished. Leave a small area unstitched to flip it right-side-out, then sew it shut after flipping it.
Hand-stitch the lining to the bottom of the waistband of the pants, on the inside of the bag.
Add handles or a shoulder strap, or both! For the models here, the handles were made with decorated ribbon, and the shoulder strap with the leg of the pants.
