Finger painting is a play activity for young children. This tutorial shows you a great idea, which is easily doable with a bit of help from an adult dependant on the child's age. The example given is simply a happy mouse holding balloons.

Supplies
Tools
  • Pencil
Materials
  • Card
  • Finger paint
Directions
  • Start by asking the child to practice on a scrap of paper.

Once confident, it's time to start the work of art.

  • Draw a mouse on your side and ask the child to copy it at the same time.
  • Next cover the drawing with finger prints.
  • Leave it to dry completely.
  • Add in the detail in pencil :
    • The lines which tie the balloon to the mouse's hands.
    • The arms, the legs and the mouse's face.
