Print out stencils of the shapes you want to use for the garland (e.g. ghosts, skulls, owls, bats).
Cut out the stencils.
Cut pieces of matching yarn.
Lay out the shapes on the yarn.
Attach shapes to the yarn with invisible tape, or glue, or staples.
