Folding the Pieces of Paper

- Fold the paper in half length-wise so the dimensions are now 8cm x 2cm.
- In case that the rectangle is only patterned on one side- keep the patterned part on the outside.

- Now fold it again, this time cross-wise so the dimensions are 4cm by 2cm.
- The paper should look like a folded strip now.
- Fold down the corners at each end of the strip.

- The open edges of the folded strip should be on top.
- Fold the layers of the corner of the top right-hand side at 45 degrees so they meet the bottom edge of the strip.
- Do the same for the left-hand side. (See above).
- You will be left with shapes like this. Each wreath takes 8 of them to complete.
Assembly

- Hold the first piece by its points.
- At the top edge there should be two little pockets dormed between the layers of paper.
- Number the layers 1, 2, 3 and 4 in your head.
- Slide one folded point of the next piece of paper between layers 1 and 2.
- The other folded point should be slid between layers 3 and 4.

- Push the second piece of paper down into the first until it is securely touching the bottom of the pocket.

- Follow the same steps using a 3rd piece of paper tucked into the 2nd, a 4th into the 3rd...

- Until the 8th tucks into the 7th and the 1st completes the loop by tucking into the 8th.
Note: Fiddle with the wreath until it comes out in an even shape.Fiddle with them to adjust so the wreath looks an even shape.

- Add a hanging loop by threading a bit of embroidery cotton through one of the tips using a needle.
