Birthday cake decorations that will never fail to please!  Try making these stars to add the perfect finish to a frosted treat.
Supplies
Tools
  • Star-shaped cookie cutters
  • Rolling pin
  • Spatula
  • Cutting pliers
Materials
  • Saranwrap
  • Powdered sugar
  • Almond paste
  • Edible glue (can be bought at a store or made at home out of sugar and egg whites.  Honey or caramel also work as glue).
  • Thin metal wire
Directions

  • Sprinkle your work space with powdered sugar.

  • Roll the almond paste onto the work space with the rolling pin.

  • When it is flat, cut out the stars with the cookie cutters.

  • Cut the stems the stars will go on (from the metal wire) based on the length desired.

  • Apply the edible glue to the metal wire before gluing the star on.
