Do you have spare computer parts lying around?  Put them back to use! Follow these instructions on how to make a sustainable indoor/outdoor windchime out of old hard-drives.
Supplies
Tools
  • 2 torque screwdrivers- #s 6 and 8
  • A pair of needlenose pliers
  • a Philips head
  • An exacto knife
  • A straight screwdriver
  • Suggestion: Power screwdriver for quick results

 

Materials
  • A total of 6 hard-drive platters (1 or 2 hard-drives)
  • Spindle motor (from one hard-drive) to support chime
  • Monofilament fishing line
