This pretty bird cage, made out of chicken wire, will give any room a homey feel. You can also use this bird cage as a wedding decoration and symbolise love with two bird figurines made out of modeling clay.

Materials

Chicken wire
Branch or a stick
Ribbon
Decorative beads
Thick wire
Cold porcelain balls (to make the head and body of the bird)
Toothpick

Directions

Make the bird cage

Estimate the width of the cage with the branch or stick and cut the wiring to the best dimensions.

Cut and form the top of the cage, with a side slightly shorter than the other.
Fold down any sharp points.
Hide the imperfections with a ribbon and decorate.

Support the bar for the bird with three loops of thick wire.
Cut rather high so that the bird is fixed below.

Make the bird for the bird cage

Assemble the cold porcelain balls with the toothpick in the shape of a bird (head and body).
Attach it to the perch by its feet making its legs and feet out of wire.

Let dry and make the eyes.
Fix the bird on its perch.
Place it in the cage by passing underneath (choose the height that you want) and attach it with the wire by looping around the chicken wire and the bar.
