  • Spread the white glue on the edges with a toothpick.

  • Repeat with the other boxes.

  • Press the pieces of roll on the glue.

  • Reinforce the bottom with sticky tape for better strength.

Decorating the cupcake boxes

  • Draw and cut circles with 4 cm diameter on stronger cardboard (from the shoe-box) for the lid.

  • Cut pieces of felt 15 x 18.5 cm to cover the boxes.

  • Cut a circle 4.5 cm in diameter for the bottom of the exterior and a circle 4 cm wide for the interior.

  • Sew just by the edge of the carton, and cut two small triangles (see photo below).

  • Put glue on the inside of the box.

  • Gently cover the interior of the box and fix the edges with a little bit of glue. Glue the circle on the bottom.

  • Sew the bottom.

  • Glue a piece of felt (approx. 6 cm in diameter) on the 4 cm circles for the lid.

  • Cut out felt circles 8-9 cm in diameter. Sew around the perimeter and pull a little on the two strings. Fill with wadding.

  • Sew the decoration on the lid with small stitches.

  • Add frosting with different pieces of felt in little waves. Glue or sew to attach.

Making the fruit for the cupcake boxes

    • stuff with a little plastic foam (optional),
    • sew.

  • Cut and sew little white pieces on both sides.

  • Using the same thread, sew white lines around the white center (see photo below).

  • Make little black knots with black thread, between the white stitches.

  • For the clementines:
    • cut out orange felt circles (1),
    • Fold in half and cut out a small portion in the middle with scissors (2),
    • sew along the edge (3),
    • leave a small hole for the wadding (4),
    • sew little white lines (like with kiwi) (5).

  • Put the little pieces together.
    • For the chocolate cream, cut out two pieces of white, brown or yellow felt and then sew them on the box.
    • For the banana: cut two felt circles, sew around the edges, and make three black knots.
  • Prepare the labels, inserting them in the boxes with the nonpareils.

!: Instead of regular rectangles with the guests' names, cut long bands of colored paper and roll on the interior of the little box.
