Design the paper pyramid

• Draw a square, leaving a gap on 2 opposite sides.

• Draw lines of the same length next to the sides with the gaps.

• Repeat square and lines, bigger, until you reach desired size.

Cut the paper pyramid

• Cut along the lines with utility knife.

NB: Save time by doing all of the verticals, then all of the horizontals.

• Pull the center square to create the 3D effect.

Variations

• Use rectangles or circles instead of squares.

• Vary the rotation of the squares (e.g., vary the set of sides on which you leave the gaps).
