Design the customized T-shirt

• Choose where to cut t-shirt (here, the back is remade).
• Mark 2 columns of evenly-spaced dots to cut between.

NB: These lines can be straight or in an hourglass or other shape, depending on the desired effect.

Create the customized T-shirt

• Cut across from dot to dot, making strips in fabric.

• Cut the bottom strip in half.

• Cut off t-shirt's neck band.

• Weave the strips together:
  • Take the top strip and pull it over the strip below it.
  • Take the 2nd strip and pull it over the 1st and 3rd strips.
  • Pull the 3rd strip up between the 1st and 2nd strips, twisting all over strips except the 3rd toward the top of the t-shirt.
  • Pull the 4th strip up between the 3rd and other strips, twisting other strips toward top.
  • Repeat with each remaining strip down the rest of the t-shirt.

• Pull the 2 halves of the bottom strip through the last loop and knot at each corner.
