Materials
- 1 standard clothes hanger (41 cm)
- 50 x 90 cm fabric for the outside (an old heavy linen sheet) (sewing margin included)
- 50 x 90 cm lining fabric (an old baby sheet) (sewing margin included)
- 2 x red embriodering thread
- Sewing thread
Directions
Prepare the fabric for the clothespin bag

- Overlay the 2 fabrics, with the coat hanger in between them.
- Fold into an accordion (two or more parallel folds which open like an accordion) and re-fold the flap to the front (see photo below).
- Position the embroidery grid on the required side.

- Trim it with the backstitch.
Festoon the clothespin bag
- Draw the festons on the inside of the exterior piece of fabric, following the template on the flap.
- Sting along the line, ensuring the 2 fabrics are on top of each other.
- Sting the 2 lengths of your rectangle 1cm in from the edge.
- Leave the side oppossite your festons open.
- Cut the surplus fabric with toothed scissors.
- Take good care when cutting deep slits between the festons.
- Turn over the bag and iron over the knits/stiches.

- Brand-iron the folds of your "accordion".
- Sew (with a contrasting coloured thread) all around the edges of your bag, whilst creating slanting angles (see photo below).
NB : make sure you lift up the flap
Finish the clothespin bag
- Place the clothes hanger between the two fabrics.
- Fold and pin around the circumference of the clothes hanger at the top of the pouch.
- Sew it all up keeping the clothes hanger inside.

Variant
You can use any of the following corners: rounded, right angled or slanted.
