A "classic" among seamstresses is the yo-yo, infinitely variable in its forms and uses. It's even easy enough to be made by children. In this case, use your trusty needle and thread to make some scrapbooking accessories in the form of a gorgeous fabric yo-yo.
Supplies
Tools
  • Sewing needle
Materials
  • Scraps of different fabrics
  • Matching thread
  • Buttons
  • Artificial flowers (store-bought or handmade)
Directions
  • Cut a 16 cm (6-1/4 inches) circle of fabric
    NB: This makes a final flower of 8 cm (3-1/8 inches).
  • Make the yo-yo.
  • Sew onto its center 1 or multiple flowers and, on top of them, 1 button.
